Apna Shelter India Foundation is working with an objective to eliminate child labour and help them unlock their potentials by sending them to schools. In order to make this happen, Apna Shelter India Foundation runs many programs aiming towards helping deprived children get access to schools. We work towards making parents aware of the benefits of education, convincing them to send their kids to schools for a brighter future.

 We help children unlock their potential and realize their dreams. We believe that every child is extraordinary and can scale great heights if provided with the right learning opportunities. With regular and generous contributions from our supporters, we are able to march steadily towards achieving these goals.

We are committed to ensure that all children, irrespective of their origin, are able to go to school, play, interact and learn with other children of their age. We help children with limited means hone their creativity and skills under the guidance of trained teachers and make persistent efforts to enable them to secure a life of dignity for themselves, their families and the community at large.

We runs programmes like Save Underprivelaged Children to support the education of the most disadvantaged children of India in different ways.  

We understand that a nation can follow the path of progression only if its children are getting proper education. Also, education is the path to empowerment, a better life, and financial freedom. Education makes people aware of a wide range of things – including social behaviour, healthcare, hygiene, understanding one’s rights as well as duties. Gradually, helps children evolve into a better and responsible citizen.  

At Apna Shelter India Foundation, we believe that education is the most powerful thing to bring social transformation. Therefore, it is crucial to send every child to school. However, a child receives proper education only if the family is educated, especially mother. That being said, a family of uneducated also sends children to schools if they are aware of the benefits of education.  

We work with the local communities to form Children Groups (CGs) and School Management Committees (SMCs) and work with them to ensure that they take accountability of the development of the children in their community and that even the most marginalized children in their area are sent to school and they stay there. 

Apna Shelter India Foundation counsels parents at labour colonies and slum areas to send their children to schools, especially girls and special make necessary arrangements for their education. They have their learning centres where volunteers teach for the empowerment of next generation.
