Project Seva Rath — Service on Wheels
Project Seva Rath is Apna Shelter India Foundation’s mobile outreach initiative—Service on Wheels—created to take essential services closer to communities that may face distance, mobility, awareness or access barriers.
The Rath functions as a flexible outreach platform. Depending on the approved activity, location, available professionals and partner support, it can be deployed for healthcare, awareness, essential-support distribution and other community-service interventions.
Core Outreach Functions
- Community Health Outreach: preventive screening, basic health checks, awareness and appropriate referrals with qualified professionals where required.
- Women & Child Wellbeing: hygiene, nutrition, menstrual-health and wellbeing awareness activities.
- Essential Support Distribution: organised delivery of approved food, hygiene, educational or relief materials to identified communities.
- Awareness on Wheels: community sessions covering health, sanitation, education, environment and other relevant social issues.
- Last-Mile Connectivity: connecting underserved communities with institutions, services, programmes and referral pathways.
Deployment Model
Each deployment can be planned with a defined location, purpose, beneficiary group, partner team, materials, budget and measurable outputs. This allows Seva Rath to remain responsive while maintaining documentation and accountability.
Transparency & Reporting
Deployments may be recorded through dates, locations, beneficiary counts, expenses, photographs, videos, partner details and field updates, creating a transparent record of outreach and impact.
Project Seva Rath takes support beyond fixed centres and brings organised service directly to the people who need it.
