1. Our Commitment to Privacy

APNA SHELTER INDIA FOUNDATION respects the privacy of donors, volunteers, beneficiaries, members, event participants, supporters, website visitors and other individuals who communicate with us.

You may request deletion of eligible personal information held by us, subject to applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

2. How to Request Deletion

Contact us through the official contact details published on our website.
Use the subject USER DATA DELETION REQUEST.
Provide your name and the email address or mobile number used while interacting with us.
If the request concerns WhatsApp, provide the relevant WhatsApp number.
Briefly identify the service or interaction concerned.

Security Notice: Never send passwords, OTPs, Meta access tokens, WhatsApp verification codes, banking passwords or card PINs.

3. Identity Verification

We may take reasonable steps to verify that the requester is entitled to request deletion of the relevant information.

4. Information That May Be Deleted

Website enquiry contact information.
Communication preferences.
WhatsApp communication records maintained by our application.
Meta-related identifiers received by our application where applicable.
Volunteer or event enquiry information.
Other eligible personal information not legally required to be retained.

5. Information We May Need to Retain

Certain information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, taxation, audit, donation, statutory reporting, fraud-prevention or compliance purposes.

Where retention is required, we will limit use and retention to the purpose for which it remains necessary.

6. Meta and WhatsApp Business Platform Data

We may use Meta and WhatsApp Business Platform services to communicate with donors, volunteers, beneficiaries, members, event participants and other persons who interact with the Foundation.

Data independently controlled by Meta, Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp remains subject to those providers' own privacy and retention practices.

7. Automated Meta Data Deletion Requests

Where supported by our Meta application, Meta may electronically send a data deletion request to our callback endpoint. Our callback validates Meta's signed request before accepting it for processing.

8. Data Processors and Service Providers

Our website infrastructure is hosted using Hostinger. Service providers may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide hosting, infrastructure or technology services.
