Project Apna Bhi Ghar — A Place of Safety, Dignity and Belonging
Project Apna Bhi Ghar represents Apna Shelter India Foundation’s commitment to the fundamental human need for safe shelter, care and dignity. It is conceived as a structured shelter and rehabilitation initiative for vulnerable people who require protection, essential support and a pathway toward greater stability.
Purpose
The project may support carefully assessed shelter-related needs of homeless or highly vulnerable individuals and families, senior citizens and other people requiring time-bound or sustained assistance. The exact beneficiary group and service model will be defined for each approved implementation.
Core Support Areas
- Safe Shelter: temporary, transitional or longer-term accommodation according to the approved project model.
- Essential Living Support: food, clothing, hygiene, bedding and basic household requirements.
- Senior Care & Dignity: age-appropriate assistance, companionship and care coordination where applicable.
- Health & Referral Support: access to appropriate health screening, treatment referrals and follow-up services.
- Rehabilitation & Reintegration: counselling, documentation assistance, skills or livelihood linkages and family/community reintegration where safe and appropriate.
Safeguarding & Governance
Residential and care-based activities require strong safeguarding, privacy, consent, operational controls and sustainable financial planning. Beneficiary dignity and safety remain central to every intervention.
Transparency
Approved activities may be supported by documented budgets, procurement and expenditure records, beneficiary/service records, field evidence and periodic impact reporting.
Apna Bhi Ghar is more than a roof—it is the idea that every person deserves a safe place from which hope and a more secure future can begin.
