Why this campaign matters
Severe, unrelenting torrential rains have hit the rural belt of Palghar district, leading to sudden flash flooding and waterlogging in Uplat village and neighboring rural clusters. Over 150 families—primarily daily-wage laborers and tribal farming households—have seen their homes inundated, destroying stored grains, clothing, and household belongings.
With local water sources contaminated and electricity disrupted, these families are in urgent need of basic survival kits. We are mobilizing an immediate on-the-ground emergency relief team to deliver:
Dry Ration Kits: Rice, flour, pulses, oil, salt, and essential spices to feed a family of 5 for 2 weeks.
Hygiene & Sanitation Supplies: Water purification tablets, soaps, sanitary pads, and antiseptics to prevent waterborne disease outbreaks.
Emergency Shelter Kits: Heavy-duty tarpaulin sheets, ropes, and ground mats for displaced families.
Clean Drinking Water: Bottled water distribution for immediate hydration.
